Day 1 - Wednesday, 11/29/2023 - Fly to Phoenix Arrive in Phoenix and meet your Tour Manager and travel north to beautiful Sedona, set amongst the red-hued rocks of Oak Creek Canyon. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner with fellow travelers. - Dinner |
Day 2 - Thursday, 11/30/2023 - Sedona Start a great day with a Sedona Trolley Tour featuring the Chapel of the Holy Cross and Airport Mesa for spectacular views. The trolley guide will give you insight into the various rock formations, indigenous vegetation, and history of this remarkable area. Later, visit Uptown Sedona and the Spanish-Mexican Village of Tlaquepaque to explore art galleries, shopping opportunities, and restaurants. Maybe take an optional Guided Jeep Tour into the Sedona backcountry. - Breakfast |
Day 3 - Friday, 12/1/2023 - Grand Canyon Begin an unforgettable day with a drive through amazing Oak Creek Canyon, a sixteen mile long canyon known for its spectacularly colored white, yellow, and red cliffs dotted with pine, cypress, and juniper. Later, arrive at the awe-inspiring South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park (altitude 6,800’) for free time and lunch on your own. Six million years in the making, the Grand Canyon’s dynamic colors and textures inspire reflection at nature’s power and beauty. Later, board your motorcoach to see the Grand Canyon from other points of interest. Stop to see the historic Desert View Tower and take in a final view of the awesome Grand Canyon. Visit famous Cameron Trading Post, well known as a stop for park explorers and Native American art. - Breakfast |
Day 4 - Saturday, 12/2/2023 - Montezuma / Jerome This morning visit the Montezuma Castle National Monument, the ruins of a cliff dwelling built in the 12th and 13th centuries by the Sinagua. Later, explore the old mining town of Jerome, once a virtual ghost town, now restored with shops, museums, and art galleries. Visit Jerome State Historic Park also known as The Douglas Mansion to get a flavor of what life was like when Jerome was a booming mining town. Built in 1916, this museum and architectural landmark on the National Register of Historic Places features impressive photography exhibits, numerous historic artifacts, and an engaging video presentation from a sprawling hilltop location. This evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner in the Sedona area with your fellow travelers. - Breakfast - Dinner |
Day 5 - Sunday, 12/3/2023 - Fly Home This morning travel to Old Town Scottsdale where Western storefronts recreate an aura of the past. Later arrive at the airport for your flight home.
